For parents who know something isn't adding up.

See How Your Child's Brain Really Works.

To make an evaluation easier to understand, I use water. Every one of the nine thinking abilities holds a certain amount, more in some, less in others, and a bucket or a barrel is the easiest way to picture that. Buckets and Barrels uses that picture so the words on your child's evaluation finally make sense.

Two minutes with Rhonda

Rhonda's AI voice, her words.

Every thinking ability in Buckets and Barrels has a character. Two of them are barrels.

Episode One: Meet Grandpa and Uncle Clue

Grandpa is the library, everything your child already knows. Uncle Clue is the figure-it-out system. The other seven live down the lane in Bucket Hollow, and you will meet them as you go.

Two ways through. Both free. Pick the one that fits you today.

She just had a hole in her bucket.

It is also personal.

My granddaughter Jessie gave me the words for it. Three words to hold on the way into the grocery store, gone by the time we got inside. She thought for a moment and told me she just had a hole in her bucket. She is the real girl behind Millie.

Why the legs? Because I don't stand outside the bucket with a clipboard. I climb in.

You do not need statistics. You need one picture.

Sample child, not a real student

On a cognitive evaluation, 100 is dead average, and every score is a comparison to other people the same age.

So we pour the score into the vessel. A 99 fills it to the top. A 72 fills it partway.

The low ones are where the water stops, and that is where the hard part of the day lives.

Families Who Have Sat at the Table With Me

“We are incredibly thankful for Rhonda, who helped our daughter, diagnosed with dyslexia and math difficulties, successfully complete high school. Rhonda guided us through the IEP process, secured the right accommodations, and made sure our daughter received the support she needed to thrive. Thanks to Rhonda’s advocacy, our daughter gained confidence, stayed on track, proudly earned her diploma, and is now in college. We couldn’t have done it without her. We highly recommend Rhonda.”

Sit With Me and Your Child's Data

You have the report. Somebody read you the scores, the meeting ended, and now it is sitting on the kitchen counter doing nothing for your child.

In one hour we go through it together, using Buckets and Barrels. You will see which vessels are running full, where the water slows, and what that actually means on a Tuesday morning.

Not a new evaluationNot a diagnosisNot an eligibility decision

Please don't let money scare you off. The call is free, and this was never about the money. I would rather talk with you than have you go without answers. We will figure out together what fits your family.

You bring the questions. I'll bring twenty-five years.

It is not your fault.

Everything on this page is free and you can do all of it yourself. If it turns out you would rather have someone walk it with you, that is what I am for.
